Fund the Future, Fund the Climate Action Collective!

The Climate Action Collective is an immersive leadership climate community for high school students interested in climate change and community activism. The Collective serves as a launchpad for dialogue, community action, leadership skills, and knowledge of the natural environment and history of New Jersey. Every summer, City Green creates a place for youth to be themselves, learn about the world around them, and build community through their values and interests of environmental justice, connecting with the natural world, and taking action on the most pressing issue of our time, climate change. Participants engage in facilitated discussions about climate change, further their climate science knowledge from workshops, and glean inspiration from the words of influential climate activists, with a particular focus on youth activism.
Now in its fourth season, the Climate Action Collective has become a hallmark summer program at City Green. Participants take field trips to experience the diversity of nature in New Jersey, participate in sustainable creative arts programs, share thoughts on readings, and grow their confidence in leadership and climate activism. City Green’s talented and dedicated staff lead this youth group for the duration of the program and support participants as they facilitate a culminating community event that engages the public in climate change education and action.
This summer, as we look to continue and expand this program, we invite you to join us in supporting the Climate Action Collective. With your generous contribution, we hope to raise $10,000 to continue to grow the power of the Climate Action Collective and empower youth in their discovery of collective action and impact.
