Support City Green's Farm to Pantry Program

As we reflect on the bounty of our harvest this season, we can’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity ability to connect good, local, nutritious food with members of our community. Here at City Green, we believe in food security and sustainable food systems for all people and communities, and we make it our mission to ensure good food for all.

That's why each season we prioritize growing enough food to accommodate not only our farm stands and Veggie Mobile markets, but our incredible Farm to Pantry program.

Since 2017, City Green has donated over 25,000 pounds of organically and sustainably grown produce through our Farm to Pantry program. Our farm team at the Farm Eco-Center coordinates weekly deliveries with community partners to donate a share of our farm's fresh harvest. At our farm South Branch Preserve in Mount Olive, we partner with Local Share to glean our fields and donate produce to food pantries in the Morris County Community. Our Farm to Pantry program provides good food donations to local community partners like Father English Community Center, Great Falls Military Assistance Food Pantry, Jewish Family Services, St Peter’s Haven, and Black Lives Matter Paterson.

We invite you to join us in our work of ensuring farm fresh food for all through the launch of our 2022 Fall Fundraising Campaign, Farm to Pantry. Your support will help City Green raise $5,000 to support our Farm to Pantry program and ensure that everyone in our community can access the fresh, healthy nutritious food they deserve.

With your support during our Farm to Pantry campaign, City Green can:

• Grow bountiful harvests of fresh, organic produce
• Support donation deliveries to our existing community partners
• Deepen connections with our community partners throughout Passaic County

Food access is at the core of City Green’s mission. It’s why we sustainably grow over 60,000 lbs of nutritious produce; operate over 150 markets per season, making affordable, nutritious produce accessible for members of the Passaic County community; and operate our amazing Farm to Pantry program that connects farm fresh food with our incredible community partners.
