Farm Tour Fundraiser

We invite you to celebrate with City Green! And we invite you to share in our work of increasing access to local, farm-fresh food ensuring good food is available for all; creating beautiful natural habitats for people, plants and wildlife; and providing beautiful vegetable and flower gardens in urban communities where children enjoy learning, playing and growing!
On June 17th, City Green will host our first Farm Tour Fundraiser at the idyllic Farm Eco-Center in Clifton, NJ. This dynamic fundraising event will feature a socially-distanced cocktail hour in the idyllic native gardens of the Learning Farm. Guests will have an opportunity to explore the space on a self-guided tour while they enjoy seasonal, small bites. Then the party will gather at the pond to start the farm tour, hosted by City Green's farmers and farm assistants. The Farm Tour will give guests the opportunity to take a first-hand look at the regenerative farming practices and sustainable food production that City Green is famous for. The event will be hosted with our guest’s Covid safety in mind including socially distanced tables and seating areas, strict sanitizing protocols in place, and lots of open air!
City Green is an urban farming and garden education non-profit based in Clifton, New Jersey. We operate two, small-scale organic vegetable farms in Clifton and Mount Olive and address food access inequities through our farm stand, farm to pantry and veggie mobile programs. We work with community members to support their garden projects, and youth to foster interaction with the natural world and an understanding of where healthy food comes from. Whether we are farming, gardening, or partnering with other local organizations, we value resilient, diverse eco-systems, environmental stewardship and supporting healthy communities.
